Crowe slur sees Joan Rivers booted off talk show

Joan Rivers has been booted off a British talk show after repeatedly swearing while talking about actor Russell Crowe.

The 75-year-old comedian and actress was asked to leave British talk show Loose Women during an ad break after using two expletives to describe Crowe.

"You can bleep this later," Rivers said before launching into the tirade, failing to realise she was on a live broadcast.

Rivers has apologised, and said in a statement she had assumed her swear words would be censored after the show.

News agency AP reported Rivers also joked that the incident reminded her of her wedding night, because she had been asked to leave in the middle of that, too.
